I googled Mr. Furman and learned a little about him and his guru Sri Chinmoy (sp?). Call me a skeptic, I need more reason than someone giving me a spiritual name and telling me to "go break records." This was decades ago, maybe he meant "snap a bunch of vinyl over your knee." Clarification is important.

Agreed. This is nothing that anyone gay or straight needs to do.
