Readers,
Gay Guy is loving PBS's Masterpiece Mystery: Sherlock, a modern and internet-savvy take on Holmes and Watson.
Straight Guy is committed to AMC's The Walking Dead, a zombie epic inspired by Robert Kirkman's popular comic books.
Anyone watching either, or both? Both have been well received by the critics. Are you in the mood for witty repartee, or will "unnnhh... brains..." do?

Masterpiece Mystery: Sherlock looks like it would be right up my alley. Zombies? Not so much. Sorry SG.
Sorry, SG. I think GG will wind up getting most of the female votes, FWIW. Once Halloween has passed, I've had my fill of zombies for the year.
I haven't watched either, but I think I'd pick the mystery. Sherlock! Zombies??? You'd have to convince me why....
Both look great! I hope they are available online, cause I'm in!
I saw the TV listing and assumed it was tired reruns of old Sherlock Holmes. This looks interesting - I didn't recognize Martin Freeman.
Totally in GG's corner on this one. I did not know PBS was doing this - thanks for the heads up. I love a good mystery.
GG and I are Masterpiece buddies. I'm so with you on Sherlock!
That's a difficult toss up. Can I TIVO one and watch both? My first pick, though would be zombies.
I can easily imagine watching either, but I'm not. Since I don't get AMC, I'm not technically choosing not to watch it, so I suppose that has the edge. Also I'm still at least two years behind in television watching, so please don't tell me what happens for a long long time.
