"This double-walled do-it-all lets you have it both ways. Elegant wine stem on the inside, manly beer stein on the outside, it's a glass for all reasons."
Still confused? Good. It's a metaphor for... something.
I don't get this product at all. Maybe if you could float both alcohols at the same time. . . .
I don't see my people buying one of these. Not so much that it is an artifact of straight culture, if it is an artifact of any culture at all, just that it's not all that practical. I can tell just by looking at it that I'd spill all over myself. While I was still sober.
Yes. It's a a gag gift, but it's loaded with a hint of class warfare. Grandpa has always been a beer drinker but intimidated by wine (and probably antagonized by his family for it). Here's how to bring the whole family together by teasing/insulting the patriarch.
There are other uses... That's just one real-world scenario

I hate to take you seriously, but judging by the amount you'd get in that mug, I'm guessing gay. No straight man wants that little beer.
So the mug is a really tacky closet?
Looks like a yard sale item...

I love this! Not sure I'd wanna drink out of it, but it's fun to look at...
Where/how do you find this stuff?
Anon: The less we know about the mind of Straight Guy, the happier we'll all be. This is among the least disturbing of the items he's shared with us.
Straight in Upstate,
Good point. He does find things that are, shall we say, obscure.
This is....bizarre. I'm voting "no" on this one.
It's a little tacky.
